1. Goo Goo Ga Ga — CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso feat. Jack Black
[Buenos Aires / LA]
The ridiculous, witty, talented Argentine duo whose Tiny Desk hit 70+ million views are, well, everywhere! Collabs with Ezra Collective, fred again.., Robyn, Sting, they even just flexed on the Track Star Show. This gem features Jack Black, giving us a way to swap Bowser's Peaches (peaches, peaches peaches peaches) with Rigi-goo-goo-ga-ga.
Note: the Ezra Collective / fred again.. Beto's Hornsis a jaw-dropping one-take. These crazy kids repeat 'you cannot fuck with my butt.' so headphones, not the kitchen speakers, but worth your ears.
2. i think I had something once — Aubory Bugg
[Illinois / Nashville]
Aubory's a 21-year-old Illinois songwriter that simply cuts through the noise. She blew up on TikTok covering Reneé Rapp, then followed up with originals that prove she wasn't a one-cover wonder. I see Noah Kahan's sad-boy melancholy and raise you Aubory Bugg's cozy, old-soul Joni Mitchell.
3. What It Gave Me — Jordan Rakei feat. Jalen Ngonda
[London / Maryland / New Zealand]
Two artists from opposite ends of the world via London. Jordan Rakei was the first ever artist-in-residence at Abbey Road. Jalen Ngonda is a rising Daptone Records soul artist whose voice sounds like it walked out of 1965. They wrote and recorded this together in one morning. These two have worked their socks off for this moment.
4. i like this — Joey Valence & Brae [Pennsylvania]
Two guys from Penn State making hip hop that remembers fun is allowed (the Nintendo bar is a personal fave). This one's built on nostalgia, sampling It Takes Two (Rob Base / DJ E-Z Rock) with a Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince Summertime swagger.
5. Tu Corazón (Your Heart) — PNAU feat. The Warning
[Sydney / Monterrey]
I picture myself dancing to this at a Daybreaker party. The Warning are three Mexican sisters who shred. They're opening for Yungblud this summer, and hit that sweet spot of femme angst you can dance to. This song is on my shortlist for better World Cup 2026 anthems than the 'how did this make it off the cutting room floor' version of Jump that we will be subjected to.
6. Sumba Ale — Nuevos Ríos
[Colombia / Toulouse]
Nidia Góngora has one of those voices you don't forget. You know her from Quantic, you know her from Ondatrópica. Now she's pulled in a French trio called Reco Reco and built something rooted in her hometown on the Pacific coast of Colombia. Imagine the deepest Afro-Colombian percussion you've heard, but someone plugged it in. First album just out.
7. Madwoman — Laufey [Reykjavik / Los Angeles]
Just in case, it's LAY-vay, not LAW-fee. She just released a deluxe edition of 'A Matter of Time' with this snazzy track on it. The 60s pool party music videostars Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu, who skated to Laufey's 'Promise' on her way to gold in Milan. The love fest continues - now they're mates, now she's in the video. The whole thing is a fun mod mood, served with a side of safe-for-home Heated Rivalry's Hudson Williams amongst a cast of her famous friends.
8. I Feel So Free — Madonna [New York]
I was initially hesitant to put this in. It's no Vogue or Ray of Light, but I'm cautiously optimistic on a return to form. I would have preferred her Coachella performance to be with a more surprising guest than Sabrina Carpenter (11 years after the Drake kiss, which... yeah), but hey, a little Donna Summer-inspired song ain't gonna hurt as we wait a couple more months for the full return of the queen.
9. Ipa Ma — Baalti & Lapgan [Bay Area / Chicago]
Three producers locked in for a beat battle in Joshua Tree, flipping samples from rare South Asian records. It feels like lightning in a bottle, the product of collaboration and experimentation. I love this sound. My kid also thinks it's the coolest track the Minions have ever released (and now, like the FedEx arrow, I cannot unhear it).
10. Focu 'Ranni — Rosalía [Barcelona]
Beyond stoked to have Rosalía officially in the 2026 soundtrack. The new track is the ultimate addition to her transcendent album, making a Costco run feel like an epic adventure. Friendly reminder on Berghain's f-bombs from Yves Tumor: skip the last minute if you're playing the deluxe LUX on the kitchen speakers.
